Avon is named after the corner of England where she and Chris spent many happy years. During your stay you’re quite likely to meet both the owner, Joanne Hurst – née Marrian – and the hotel’s other namesake, George. A statuesque English Pointer of impeccable lineage, George is a regular presence in the hotel that bears his name, and is only too happy to greet guests that treat him with the requisite levels of respect. He’s a canine of discerning tastes though, and guests are requested not to indulge his healthy appetite by offering any treats of their own.
